Scott Hogan scored his first goal of the season at the weekend in Sheffield United’s 3-2 loss against Bristol City.
Playing for automatic promotion-chasing Sheffield United, Hogan netted for the first time in nearly 12 months to put the Blades ahead.
The Republic of Ireland international is on loan from Aston Villa but he last scored on the 3rd April. It was coming up to a whole year since his last goal but Hogan has broken his duck.
It will be a major relief for the former Brentford striker, who has found life difficult since his big-money move to Aston Villa.
With just seven goals in 56 Championship matches, Hogan is not justifying his price tag. But perhaps he can now focus on getting his career back on track.

The 26-year-old was hoping for a fresh start at Sheffield United but was playing just his fourth game since his January loan switch.
Hogan came off the bench and scored to set Sheffield United on their way to victory, although two late goals cost them the victory.
But Hogan needs to look at that performance from an individual perspective. Ending his longstanding goal drought could be the key to salvaging his career.
Whether Hogan can turn things around at Aston Villa remains to be seen but he needs a fresh start in 2019/20 to get back to his best form.
