A report in Italy regarding the asking price for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini will certainly have Aston Villa fans scratching their heads this weekend.
The Italian is reportedly wanted by Roma and Tottenham, leaving the Serie A side to consider how much they would want to engage in a sale.
According to Tuttosport, the answer is quite a lot.
Gollini is valued at a figure of €30 million (£27m). That is a massive figure when you consider his unsuccessful stint at Villa Park.
Signed by countryman Roberto Di Matteo for a reported (The Sun) £4.1 million in 2016 the former Hellas Verona man never settled into life at Villa Park.

After Di Matteo was sacked, Gollini struggled to impress Steve Bruce and played just 20 times for the club before being loaned to Atalanta in 2016. The Italian was initially a back-up stopper at the club before becoming first-choice last season after the deal was made permanent.
He has since been a star for Atalanta, who are in the Champions League quarter-finals and is on the cusp of a first Italian national team call-up.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, have had something of a difficult time pinning down a regular number one, with the likes of Orjan Nyland, Lovre Kalinic, Pepe Reina, and Tom Heaton all signed in recent times.
It seems the move to Villa simply came at the wrong time for Gollini who is now thriving back in his homeland.
Aston Villa fans can only think of what might have been.
