It looks as though Jordan Veretout is on the move. As reported by Il Matino, the Frenchman is set to join Napoli this summer from Fiorentina. They suggest that a deal between the club and player has now been agreed. Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to want the player at the Stadio San Paolo and it appears a €20 million (£17.1 million) fee could get the deal done
It is a deal that will undoubtedly shock Aston Villa fans.
The French midfielder arrived at Villa in a deal said to be worth around £8 million by the Daily Mail in the summer of 2015.

But along with a number of new recruits he struggled at Aston Villa. Tim Sherwood failed to get the best out of his players and Aston Villa were relegated that season. Veretout headed out on loan to Saint-Etienne before joining Fiorentina permanently in 2017.
During his time at Aston Villa he never really looked anything like the top talent he was supposed to have been. Although, his tally of five assists that season perhaps put him in the better bracket from that dismal term.
But he has certainly revitalized his career in Italy. Hearing that Ancelotti wants him won’t surprise many Serie A followers.
Aston Villa fans will just be bemused that a man who played a role in their humiliating 15-16 campaign is now worth such a handsome fee.
