Aston Villa host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed they are desperate for Henri Lansbury to start.
Dean Smith’s side will take on Wolves in the last-16 of the Carabao Cup and they also face them 10 November at Molineux in the Premier League.
They are separated by just a point in the league table after the opening 10 games and that could set up an exciting cup fixture, but there is the possibility of selection changes.
A selection of Villa supporters on social media are keen for Lansbury to be recalled to the XI in midweek.
The midfielder has started just one game this season and that came in the second round of the Carabao Cup, where he managed three assists in a win over League Two position Crewe Alexandra.
His only other minutes this campaign have come with two late substitute appearances in the Premier League and he’s had to settled for a fringe role.

Lansbury has not played a lot of football during the last couple of years and played only 38 times across all competitions since he moved to Villa in 2017.
The 29-year-old is down the midfield pecking order at the moment and it will take something remarkable against Wolves to get him back in contention.
