Aston Villa youngster Keinan Davis has posted a message on Twitter expressing his delight after a return to first-team action at the weekend – and many of the club’s supporters offered their delight at his comeback.

The 21-year-old attacker made just his second senior appearance of the campaign, as he came off the bench in a 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship.

He entered the action with 15 minutes to go and saw his shot sting the palms of the goalkeeper, which allowed Albert Adomah to tap into an empty net.

Davis is a product of the club’s academy and has had to be patient waiting for his opportunity under Dean Smith.

The centre-forward is now back to full fitness and will to finish the campaign in decent form to help the promotion bid.

He’s made 39 senior appearances for the Midlands giants and is having to be patient with teammate Tammy Abraham banging in the goals in front of goal.

Davis expressed his delight on social media following his comeback.

“Feels great to be back, and thanks for the support, appreciate it,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

The young English striker has received a wave of response to his tweet that encourage him to force his way into Smith’s team on a regular basis and believe he’s got a great future ahead of him.
