Aston Villa fans react to reports from France linking them with midfielder Rongier

Aston Villa are on the trail of Nantes midfielder Valentin Rongier this summer, according to a report by French outlet Le Foot.

The report says that Villa will have to battle the likes of Lyon and Southampton to land the 24-year-old, who netted four goals for the Ligue 1 outfit in 2018/19.

It also goes on to say that Rongier is valued at 15 million euros (£13.3 million), and has a contract at the club he joined when he was just five years old that runs until 2022.

Villa need reinforcements to make their squad ready for life in the top flight and the earlier it gets done, the better.
