Aston Villa fans react to reported interest in Huddersfield forward Karlan Grant

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in a move for Huddersfield Town forward Karlan Grant – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded to suggest they are preparing for relegation.

Dean Smith’s side currently sit inside the relegation zone of the Premier League table two points from safety and have lost their last five consecutive matches across all competitions to hit bad form at a crucial part of the season.

Sky Sports claims that Villa are targeting a potential summer move for versatile attacker Grant from Championship side Huddersfield.

The report explains that West Brom and Fulham are also interested in his signature too.

Grant is a talisman for a Huddersfield team fighting their own relegation battle in the Championship and he’s scored an impressive 16 goals in 35 games across all competitions this campaign.

The 22-year-old has shown he can be effective as a central striker, but has adapted into a left-winger role recently and is a real handful for defences.

He’s got plenty of pace and running power in the final third, plus he’s shown he can score all types of goals.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media believe that striker Grant is a positive target for them ahead of next season.

But they are suggesting that he would be much more of a Championship signing and feel it’s a negative approach.

Grant has shown that he’s a goal machine in the second-tier and deserves another crack in the top-flight after only a brief time in the Premier League with Huddersfield.
