Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are not pleased by the speculation.
According to the Daily Mail, the 32-year-old has appeared on the January radar for manager Dean Smith.
The report explains that the 6ft 5in colossus would be available for a “nominal” fee from Premier League rivals Burnley in January, as his contract is due to expire at the end of this season.
Villa have lost their usual number one Tom Heaton through injury for the rest of the season and they are now eyeing potential replacements.
Hart would certainly be a rusty after spending nearly all of 2019 sat on the Burnley bench.
His only appearance in the calendar year came this season in August during a League Cup defeat to Sunderland.
He’s conceded 44 goals in his 22 Burnley appearances since joining them in 2018 and his stock has fallen dramatically.
The shot-stopper won two Premier League titles with Manchester City and played 75 times for England, but is completely out of favour right now.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media are convinced that Hart would be a bad signing and feel he would create problems.
Smith’s team sit just a point above the relegation places in the Premier League and need a consistent figure in net during the second half of the season.
