Ross Barkley is reportedly set to miss at least two games through injury – and some Aston Villa fans on Twitter are “gutted” by the update on their star.
The on-loan midfielder was withdrawn in the early stages of Villa’s weekend defeat to Brighton with a hamstring problem.
According to the Express and Star, initial scans show that the 26-year-old’s injury is not too serious, albeit he is set to miss at least two matches.
The report states that the attacking midfielder is going to be absent for upcoming Premier League fixtures against West Ham and Newcastle United.
Barkley, who has been a major hit this season since joining on loan from Chelsea, will be eyeing a potential return on 12 December against Wolverhampton Wanderers but there is no official word on his situation.
The creative playmaker has added some extra quality to the Villa side and he’s linked up particularly well with captain Jack Grealish, but it’s going to be up to the likes of Conor Hourihane, Jacob Ramsey and Bertrand Traore to try fill the void for Dean Smith’s side.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media believe that Barkley is going to be a big miss for them due to the way he’s impressed for the Midlands giants.
