Aston Villa will not be forced into overpaying Bournemouth to land defender Tyrone Mings, according to a report by the Sun.
Mings was exceptional in the latter part of last season after joining on loan from the Cherries, tightening up a previously leaky defence as Villa were promoted.
But the report outlines that Villa will not be held to ransom as they seek to sign the Englishman permanently this summer.

But so many Villa fans are so keen to see Mings come back to Villa Park this summer that they took to Twitter to urge their club to pay the money being asked to get the deal done.
As it stands, Villa will kick off next season without either of the central defenders who started the play-off final – Mings and Axel Tuanzebe – and many supporters don’t want to see that happen.
There’s a time when football fans want to see their club get a bargain but there are others when they just want their side get the deal done at all costs – and this is definitely a case of the latter.
