Aston Villa fans react to performance of Jacob Ramsey in Burton win

Aston Villa secured their place in round three of the Carabao Cup after coming from behind to defeat League One outfit Burton Albion.

Colin Daniel fired the Brewers into an early lead in the second minute but goals from Ollie Watkins, Jack Grealish and Keinan Davis ensured it was Villa who progressed.

Boss Dean Smith opted to start with a mixture of first-team regulars and fringe players, with youngster Jacob Ramsey thrown in for his first start.

The 19-year-old is an exciting Aston Villa prospect, with the central midfielder tipped for big things by the club.

His performance at the Pirelli Stadium was decent too and Smith might look to include him more going forwards.

Ramsey featured as part of a midfield that included Henri Lansbury and Marvelous Nakamba and he had a steady game.

Villa fans would love to see more of their youngsters come through and play in the first-team and with Davis on the scoresheet, it was a good night for the academy.
