Aston Villa fans react to old boy Luna’s tweet after booking Wembley spot last night

Aston Villa belong in the Premier League and they are now 90 minutes away from a return after winning their Championship play-off semi-final against West Brom last night.

Craig Dawson’s first half goal brought the sides level on aggregate and made it 1-0 on the night and despite Chris Brunt’s second half red card, that was how it stayed until penalties.

Tammy Abraham slotted home the vital kick after misses from Mason Holgate and Ahmed Hegazi to book a second straight showpiece final at Wembley for Dean Smith’s side.

It will be an enormous match on May 27, and former defender Antonio Luna took to Twitter to wish his former club well ahead of the finale.

It’s clear that Luna remains something of a cult hero among the Villa fans, with them still remembering his ‘Tony Moon’ nickname despite the fact he left Villa Park in 2015, having had two loans away before that.
