Joe Lolley has posted sarcastically on Twitter after the Nottingham Forest star failed to gain a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year – and Aston Villa fans have reacted by urging him to move to Villa Park.
Lolley, 26, has shone for Forest this season and has been without doubt their best player. He has had a hand in 21 goals during 44 Championship outings, including 10 goals and 11 assists.
But Lolley was omitted from the PFA Team of the Year, which included midfielders Pablo Hernandez, Jack Grealish and Oliver Norwood, and attackers Tammy Abraham, Billy Sharp and Teemu Pukki.
BBC Sport ran a pick-your-own simulator for fans, and Lolley was not even mentioned as an option. He reacted to the second blow on Twitter, joking that he is “really struggling now”.

The Sun claimed earlier this year that Lolley is the man Villa will look to sign in the summer, if they lose Grealish. It is believed the former Huddersfield Town star is rated at around £12million.
Aston Villa fans are obviously keen to sign Lolley, and reacted on Twitter to his sarcastic Tweet by suggesting that he would be a part of the PFA’s pick of players if indeed he was turning out in claret and blue.
