Aston Villa picked up an impressive 5-1 win at Norwich City yesterday as their excellent form this season finally clicked in a rampant Premier League triumph.
It was a brilliant performance from Dean Smith’s side and they thoroughly deserved the comprehensive manner of victory.
As expected in a 5-1 win, there were some sensational attacking performances from Aston Villa players.
Jack Grealish had arguably his best game of the season so far whilst Anwar El Ghazi was a potent threat out wide. Wesley Moraes, despite a penalty miss, scored two goals to help him continue his settling in period at the club.
But one player who was the talk of Aston Villa fans after the win was midfield general Marvelous Nakamba.
Aston Villa spent a reported (Sky Sports) £11 million to bring in the Zimbabwean from Club Brugge this summer. So far, it looks like money well spent.
The dynamic midfielder provided a solid base for Aston Villa’s more creative players to truly showcase their attacking talents.
It was a display that had Aston Villa fans united in praise for the 25-year-old and hoping they get to see plenty more of him at Villa Park this season.
