Aston Villa fans react to Keinan Davis' performance v Crystal Palace

Aston Villa fell to a 1-0 loss at Crystal Palace yesterday in what was a game that will be remembered for the refereeing. Kevin Friend’s decision to disallow Henri Lansbury’s goal because of a Jack Grealish dive certainly perplexed fans. The fact he apparently could not overrule the decision using VAR angered them.

Aston Villa were already down to 10-men as well. Trezeguet was sent off after receiving two bookings.

So it was hard for Aston Villa fans to pick any positives from the game.

However, many were left impressed by the work ethic of substitute Keinan Davis when he came into the fray.

The attacker was thrown on as Aston Villa attempted to bulldoze their way to a point. Davis, who scored against Crewe Alexandra in midweek, put in a tireless shift in the middle of the park and it did not go unnoticed among the Aston Villa fanbase.

Many were left praising the efforts of the 21-year-old, who is certainly showing signs of improvement at Villa Park.

Hopefully, he can continue to improve as the season progresses.

Hard to take positives from today but I thought Davis was again very good when he came on. To get Grealish & McGinn involved higher up the pitch we need to hold the ball up better and no one does that better than Davis.
