Aston Villa suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League on Thursday night – but some of the club’s supporters on Twitter did at least find some positivity from the performance of defender Ezri Konsa.
Dean Smith’s side were beaten 3-0 at home to Manchester United, which leaves them needing a huge turnaround in their remaining four games to avoid relegation.
The Midlands club sit 19th in the table four points from safety going into the closing fixtures and are on a 10-game streak in the league without a win.
Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba were all on the scoresheet for visitors United, but the game was overshadowed by a controversial VAR penalty incident in the first-half.
Fernandes earned his spot-kick for the visitors when Konsa was judged to have fouled him in the box, but it appeared on closer inspection that the United playmaker had fouled the Villa man.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media picked out Konsa as a bright spark from the result despite being involved in the much discussed penalty event.
Konsa, who is conventionally a centre-back, continued his recent run as a right-back in the starting XI and offered a decent attacking threat for his side in the contest.
The 22-year-old delivered some excellent crosses to the box early on when the hosts were on top for a spell, but none of his teammates could convert and he then spent the rest of the match busy with his back to goal.
