Aston Villa may reportedly be interested in trying to sign Sheffield United’s Sander Berge – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have given an extremely positive response to the speculation.
Eurosport claims that Villa are keeping an eye on the central midfielder at Premier League rivals Sheffield United, who are sat bottom of the table and staring relegation in the face.
It is understood that the 23-year-old will be available to sign in the summer if the Blades do suffer relegation, with Villa named as the frontrunners for him right now.
Berge, who has been sidelined through injury since mid-December, is regarded as one of the top talents at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United signed him for £22million (BBC) in January 2020 and he’s a defensive midfielder with the physical attributes to suit the Premier League.
The 6ft 5in colossus looked extremely positive in the second half of last season, with the powerhouse showing huge energy and providing a defensive screen.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media feel that the Norway international could add some much-needed height in the centre of the park for them.
They have the aggressive John McGinn in the midfield, but perhaps do lack a physical presence that can intimidate opponents.
