Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Tammy Abraham report
A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on a report from The Telegraph this week which suggested that Tammy Abraham still has admirers at Villa Park.
It appears that Abraham is facing an uncertain future with Chelsea. The Telegraph notes that talks are yet to start over a new contract with his current terms – worth £80,000-a-week – set to expire in 2023.

The report claims that a number of sides are set to target bolstering their striker ranks in the summer. And it seems that Abraham is expected to be on the radar of some of those clubs.
The Telegraph alludes to Villa signing Ollie Watkins last year – seemingly hinting that they may not be one of those on the lookout for a new goalscorer. Interestingly however, the report does note that Abraham still has fans at Villa.

Of course, the 23-year-old spent a year on loan with the Villans. And he played a pivotal role in getting Dean Smith’s men promoted out of the Championship. He scored 26 goals in the second tier.
The report’s hint has prompted plenty of debate amongst Villa fans on social media. Admittedly, there are some who do not believe that he is needed.
‘Come home’
Watkins has been outstanding since arriving in the summer. And some supporters are not sure that he would be worth the money as he may not be a regular starter.
However, others would love to see Abraham back. They feel that having both him and Watkins would leave Villa with a fantastic frontline.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the report…
Be brilliant, enable us to play in different formations, with 2 deadly strikers. Also if Ollie gets injured we would be in big trouble and desperately need more quality up front.

I’d love to have him, but surely he’d just be sat on the bench

Tammy was an important player for us when on loan during our promotion Season,if he were to return(don’t expect him to)but if he were i believe he wouldn’t start ahead of Watkins,Watkins is an all-round better team player than Tammy… #avfc https://t.co/ag5HEyAnEJ
