A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Telegraph claiming that Ralph Hasenhuttl is one of the names on their radar as they look for their next manager.
Villa are continuing their search for Dean Smith’s successor. His departure was announced on Sunday after they suffered five straight defeats in the Premier League.

The results leave them just above the relegation zone. And it appears that they have set their sights on at least one of their Premier League rivals.
The Telegraph reported that Hasenhuttl is on their wishlist. They are also interested in the likes of Steven Gerrard, Thomas Frank and Kasper Hjulmand.

Hasenhuttl, of course, oversaw the victory that ultimately sealed Smith’s fate at Villa Park. The Saints clinched their third 1-0 win of the campaign to move themselves further away from the bottom three.
He has generally done a very good job at St Mary’s. Obviously, his detractors will point to two particular defeats during his tenure.
However, he took the Saints top of the Premier League table 12 months ago. And his achievements seem all the more impressive given that Southampton have rarely been amongst the bigger spenders in the top flight.
