A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mail claiming that the Villans are one of the sides keen on signing Marcus Bettinelli.
Few goalkeepers in the Premier League boast higher stock right now than Villa’s number one.

Emi Martinez was outstanding during his first campaign at Villa Park. And he followed the season by helping Argentina win the Copa America.
Nevertheless, it would appear that Dean Smith wants more cover for the 28-year-old.
According to the Daily Mail, Villa, along with Arsenal and Chelsea, are keen on Bettinelli. The 29-year-old is a free agent after leaving Fulham.

Bettinelli only boasts a handful of Premier League appearances. But he is a player who played a lot in the second tier. He was also once called up to the England squad by Gareth Southgate.
And given that he is available on a free transfer, you can understand why Villa fans are largely in favour of a move.
