Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Adrien Tameze reports

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Telegraph over the weekend suggesting that the Villans are interested in Adrien Tameze in January.

Dean Smith will be hoping that the club can enjoy an inspired January on and off the pitch. Villa sit in the Premier League’s bottom three and have lost five of their last six games.

After an incredibly busy summer, it is perhaps little surprise that Smith has one eye on the loan market. The Telegraph reports that Villa are one of the teams looking at Tameze.

The Telegraph suggested that Nice boss Patrick Vieira is ready to let Tameze leave on loan next month. Burnley and Southampton are also interested in the 25-year-old.

Tameze has made eight Ligue 1 appearances this season. But worryingly for Villa supporters, he has only played once since the end of October.

And a number of fans have taken to Twitter to question the idea of whether he would be a good signing. Plenty are adamant that Villa need signings with Premier League experience in January, and Tameze, obviously, does not fit that bill.

It has been difficult to find a fan giving this particular move their backing. Most have responded to hearing the rumour by expressing their frustration.

Tameze may, of course, prove to be an inspired signing if he joins Villa. But the large majority of fans seem convinced that this could be a mistake if Smith is working with a limited budget next month.
