Aston Villa are to make a £16 million bid for Bournemouth forward Joshua King, according to The Telegraph.
King, 28, scored six goals and registered four assists as Bournemouth were relegated during 2019/20.
One of the biggest attributes King possesses is his versatility; with the forward capable of playing out wide, through the middle or as a No.10.
In 170 appearances for the Cherries, he has bagged 50 goals and registered 17 assists, also winning 48 caps for Norway during his career – scoring 17 times.
Villa secured their Premier League status for another season on the final day of the 2019/20 campaign and Smith will hope for an easier ride next season.
In order to do that he will hope his side can score more goals and King looks like being the man identified to do just that.
Following this latest link, Villa fans have taken to Twitter to discuss whether this deal makes sense or not.
It seems that the consensus is positive, with most people believing he’d be an ideal signing for the club.
Here is a selection of the best Tweets from Villa supporters as King is linked with a move to the West Midlands.
16 mill is a bargain.
Should be around 25-30 mill.

Josh King is a better player than Callum Wilson. More versatile. Can play wide or as a 10. Again, it's not a hugely exciting signing but would improve Villa's attacking options significantly. As long as he's the first of two, minimum, I think 16m is a fair price

I’d take him anyway but would imagine Bournemouth wanting around 20 mill for him
