Crystal Palace’s reported pursuit of £40million-rated Watford ace Ismaila Sarr is set to see the Eagles sell a number of players in order to raise funds – and Aston Villa supporters have reacted to Christian Benteke’s bargain price tag.
Sarr, 22, had a hand in 11 goals during 28 Premier League appearances last term – scoring five and creating six – but failed to help Watford avoid the drop. Now, he is being linked with Palace among other sides.
The Daily Mail claim Palace are likely to listen to offers for a number of players in order to raise the cash required to sign Sarr. Benteke, 29, is one of those players – with the report stating a fee of £8million is enough for the Belgian.

Benteke has struggled at Palace, netting just three goals in the past two seasons. But under a defensive Roy Hodgson, he has been stifled with wingers Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend preferring to cut inside – rather than cross.
At Villa, Benteke notched a huge 49 goals in 101 games – with the Midlands club looking to cross the ball to Benteke at every opportunity. They played to his strengths and it worked a treat.
With reports emerging that Benteke can leave Palace for a bargain £8million fee, some Villa fans took to Twitter to urge their club into bringing the former Liverpool ace back to Villa Park in the coming weeks.
