Some Aston Villa supporters have been giving their takes on a report linking the club with a move for Ryan Babel.
According to Turkish-Football, the Villans are one of a few teams keen on the Dutch winger, who has supposedly submitted a transfer request at Galatasaray.
He has been offered out to various clubs, with Newcastle United and Ajax thought to be leading the chase.
But Villa have also been named as potential suitors for the 33-year-old, who had a short loan stint with Fulham last year.
Babel, who has 63 caps for the Netherlands, has scored five goals in 20 appearances in 2019/20 so far.
Villa’s supposed interest in the former Liverpool attacker is interesting given that Dean Smith seemingly has options in the wide areas.
Anwar El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Jota and Jack Grealish can all operate on the wings, although any move for Babel would likely see Grealish move back into a central position with John McGinn out injured.
Villa fans react
Despite a good showing last year with Fulham, Some Villa fans on social media don’t appear too keen on Babel:
