Aston Villa defender Neil Taylor has dropped out of the Wales squad for personal reasons.
As reported by The Birmingham Mail, Taylor has withdrawn from international duty for personal reasons. The 42-cap Wales international will now take the international break to get himself ready for Aston Villa duty.
This is potentially a double concern for Dean Smith and Aston Villa. Smith is already short on numbers in the goalkeeper department with Jed Steer joining Tom Heaton on the sidelines.
Now, he might face a similar problem at left-back. Matt Targett had to be substituted against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday. Taylor took his place on the field at Molineux in the 2-1 loss.
But with Taylor pulling out of the Wales squad due to personal reasons, it is unclear whether either will be available after the break. The Villans host Newcastle United on Monday 25th November and Smith will be hoping that at least one of his left-backs is fit.
Here are some tweets from concerned Aston Villa fans after hearing that Taylor has dropped out of the Welsh squad.
Thought it was another injury then, hope he’s well

Hope he’s OK. Whatever you think of him, he’s an absolute professional and it must be something very important if he’s not playing for his country.
