Aston Villa fans react as Jacob Ramsey scores a brace on his Doncaster debut
Jacob Ramsey scored a brace on his Doncaster Rovers debut on Tuesday night, just days after completing a deadline-day move to the League One club from Aston Villa – and fans of the Premier League club have reacted on Twitter.
Ramsey, 18, is an exciting product of the Villa academy and has already played three times for the senior side. Indeed, his talent has not gone unnoticed even at international level – winning three England Under-19 caps.
Naturally a central midfielder, Ramsey is at his best when he is given the freedom to get forward and join the attack. Doncaster manager Darren Moore recognised this and the ex-West Brom gaffer brought Ramsey to the club last Friday.

Ramsey broke the deadlock on 54 minutes as he side-footed Kieran Sadler’s low cross into the back of the net aplomb. He made it two in the 74th minute, heading a cross from Niall Ennis beyond goalkeeper Scott Davies.
Fejiri Okenabirhie made it three, and Ramsey was greeted with plenty of applause from the away support after being substitute by Moore in the 86th minute. Ramsey has continued his excellent form, after scoring six in 12 Premier League 2 appearances.
Villa fans caught wind of his near-perfect debut and many supporters were delighted for the Birmingham-born academy product. One fan reckons Ramsey’s loan spell could mirror Jack Grealish’s excellent time at Notts County.
Be recalling him next week
