Aston Villa’s Henri Lansbury is being linked with Championship outfit Bristol City – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they want a deal to happen.
The Daily Mirror reports that Bristol City are set to make a swoop for the 30-year-old this month during the remaining days of the January transfer window.
It is stated that Villa have made the midfielder available for loan, which is no surprise given he’s omitted from their 25-man Premier League squad this season.
The report adds that the player wants to depart Villa park either permanently or on loan with a view to securing a future contract.
His current £40,000-a-week deal is set to expire at the end of this campaign.

Lansbury, who joined Villa back in 2016, has played just 53 senior games during that time and only featured in three matches so far this season.
He’s a talented central midfielder that previously thrived in the Championship with Nottingham Forest, making 150 club appearances for the Reds.
Bristol City are eighth in the Championship right now and are making a move to get him through the doors as a late month signing.
A selection of Villa supporters on social media agree that his exit would make sense and some have been fairly blunt with their comments about him.
