Aston Villa supporters have taken to social media following comments from Dean Smith about the club’s owners heading into the summer transfer window, with the Villa boss hyping up what could be an interesting few months for the Midlands-based club.

Speaking to Birmingham Live, the Villa manager waxed lyrical about the club’s owners NSWE, who have an estimated worth of £10bn, the third-highest amongst current Premier League owners behind Manchester City’s Sheikh Mansour and Chelsea’s Roman Abramovich, with Smith claiming that they’re ‘the real deal’ heading into the summer window.

Villa have been active in the summer transfer window since their promotion to the Premier League in 2019, with the Birmingham club spending over £200m as figures from Transfermarkt show, and for supporters on social media, they were excited about Dean’s comments on NSWE, which seem to hint towards a big summer in the market.
