Aston Villa are reportedly rivalling Barcelona and Real Madrid for Cordoba teenager Andres Martin this summer – and fans of the newly-promoted club are excited at the prospect of Martin in a Villa shirt.
Spanish outlet Cordopolis have claimed that Aston Villa are one of a number of European top-tier sides looking to land the 19-year-old winger. But Barcelona are winning the race for the Spaniard.
Martin shone in a disappointing Cordoba side last season, who suffered relegation from the second tier of Spanish football. He scored seven goals last season from out wide during 32 appearances.

Barcelona are leading the race as they are willing to pay above Cordoba’s asking price. It is believed they are happy to spend £3.5million to sign Martin, while Sevilla, Real Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt and Villa are also keen.
Villa are keen to bring in some wingers this summer, despite already making Anwar El Ghazi’s loan a permanent one. Liverpool’s Ryan Kent, Brentford’s Said Benrahma and now Martin have all been linked.
Aston Villa fans have reacted to the news that their club are linked with a move to youngster Martin, and some supporters are desperate to bring the teenager to the Midlands with many describing him as a “good prospect”.
19 years old, 6 goals, 4 assists in La Liga 123. Good prospect

In the spanish second division in a very poor Cordoba side that has been relegated to the spanish 3rd divison. Nice stats tbh

Nice to see Villa looking for cheap options and young talent. Much better than overspending on old players.

Sevilla, Real Madrid or Barsa want to sign him too… Good prospect indeed.

He's only 19, so one for the future, if it happens.
