Aston Villa fans react as club reportedly enquire about Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon

Aston Villa are among a host of clubs keen on the signature of Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon this summer, according to a report by the Daily Telegraph.

They report that Sessegnon is attracting interest from across Europe, and Villa are willing to battle with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham for his signature.

Villa have asked about Sessegnon but it is by no means close to getting done, given the £25 million asking price involved and the competition for his signature.

But that hasn’t stopped many Villa fans on Twitter dreaming about the prospect of adding Sessegnon to their ranks during a summer where the club isn’t messing around in the transfer market.

Villa have pulled off some impressive swoops already this summer – although they must be wary of too much churn in the squad – and Sessegnon would be up there with the best of them.

The supporters online are very excited about the prospect – however slim – of landing one of the hottest young talents in English football right now.

It’s fair to say not many of them saw this link coming and although it would be a shock to see Sessegnon in claret and blue when the season kicks off, he is expected to be on the move this summer…
