Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing striker Alexander Sorloth from Premier League side Crystal Palace, as the Norwegian continues to shine with Turkish side Trabzonspor – and Villa fans have reacted on Twitter.
Turkish Football have claimed that Aston Villa are monitoring the 24-year-old striker ahead of the summer window, as the Norway international sits top of the SuperLig goalscoring charts. He has scored 16 goals in just 19 Turkish league games.
Villa are likely to be on the lookout for a new striker in the summer, despite landing Borja Baston from Swansea City in the final hours of the January window. The Spaniard has a contract at Villa Park until the end of the season.

Sorloth, who joined Palace in January 2018 for a fee of £9million (BBC), managed only 20 appearances in England and scoring just one goal. It saw Roy Hodgson let him join Trabzonspor on a two-year loan deal, and he has taken to life in Turkey.
Palace are unable to recall him this summer unless they come to a financial agreement with Trabzonspor, while Trabzonspor can sign the striker permanently for £5m. The only way Villa can sign him, is if he requests to leave or an agreement is met.
Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that the Midlands club are interested in landing the striker ahead of the summer window. Some are open to signing Sorloth, while others think his form in England should put the club off.
