Aston Villa fans react as Celtic reportedly eye their 17-year-old midfielder
Aston Villa could reportedly lose highly-rated teenager Aaron Ramsey after the player entered the final six months of his contract, attracting interest from both Celtic and Ajax – and Villa supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Ramsey, 17, has been in good form for the club’s Under-23 side this season. In the shadow of his older brother Jacob who has broken into the first team, Aaron has still managed to score three goals in nine Premier League 2 games.
That is impressive given his age. However, Villa have allowed his contract to run down and are now in danger of losing Ramsey for a nominal fee to either Celtic or Ajax – who can land Ramsey on a pre-contract, as per the Mail.

Non-English sides will have to wait until the summer but Celtic and Ajax can sign Ramsey for nothing under the Bosman ruling. Celtic have taken advantage in the recent past, in Jeremie Frimpong and Moussa Dembele.
Ramsey is a top, top player with enormous potential and he may find that he gets more game time with either Celtic or Dutch league leaders Ajax. The breakthrough of his brother may prevent his promotion to the senior side.
However, Villa supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported interest in their England Under-17 international and many want a new deal for the talented teenager – rather than letting him leave Villa Park.
