Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi has been dropped from the Netherlands’ Euro 2020 squad.
De Telegraaf report that the 25-year-old attacker will not be part of Frank de Boer’s 26-man squad for the summer tournament. As well as El Ghazi, Tottenham’s Steven Bergwijn was also cut from the team.

El Ghazi has had a productive season with Villa this term. The winger bagged 11 goals in all competitions, including ten in the Premier League. The former Lille star also made 31 appearances for Dean Smith’s side.
The Ajax academy graduate looked certain to make De Boer’s final Netherlands squad for Euro 2020. However, the Villa star was dropped, along with seven other players.

El Ghazi has been impressive for Villa this season, and supporters on social media were gutted that the 26-year-old winger was dropped from the squad.
Here’s what some supporters had to say on Twitter about El Ghazi being left out of Holland’s Euro 2020 squad…
El Ghazi has not featured for the Dutch national team in over six years. His last appearance came in 2015 in a European qualifier against the Czech Republic.
