Some Aston Villa fans have reacted to the news that Andre Green has officially joined Charlton Athletic on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The winger spent the first half of 2019/20 at Preston North End, but made just six appearances for the club.
In the last two months of his stint, Green was in limbo.
He hadn’t made a matchday squad since October 22 against Leeds United, where he got on for just a one-minute cameo.
The move simply didn’t work out, and Villa have acted swiftly in recalling him and sending him to another Championship side in Charlton.
Addicks boss Lee Bowyer said of his new acquisition (Charlton official website): “We’re looking forward to working with him. He’s a young, exciting player who is quick. Last season he helped Villa get into the Premier League, so for me it is very exciting.
“You need a bit of pace in the team and Andre has that.”
