Aston Villa goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic has undergone surgery, according to reports from Croatia.
Croatian media outlet Novo reports that Kalinic had an operation on his knee in London and it was successful.
The goalkeeper is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks as he recovers from surgery. Kalinic picked up the injury on international duty after a game against Azerbaijan.
Aston Villa wanted to postpone the operation until the end of the season but Kalinic wanted to go under the knife immediately.

He joins fellow goalkeeper Orjan Nyland on the sidelines with the Norwegian stopper out for the season.
In the interim, Jed Steer has been filling in between the sticks and has done an impressive job to stake his claim for a full-time spot.
Kalinic has been disappointing since his January move from Gent. The 29-year-old looked shaky and conceded 12 goals in his seven Championship appearances.
But Aston Villa supporters will hope that the Croatia international can overcome his knee injury and return an improved player.
