Aston Villa recorded an impressive win over Fulham on Monday evening – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter responded by raving about their defender Matty Cash for his performance.
Dean Smith’s side secured a 3-0 away victory at Craven Cottage in the Premier League and they have now started the new season with back-to-back top-flight wins.
Jack Grealish and Conor Hourihane were both on the scoresheet to put Villa in front within the opening 15 minutes, while Tyrone Mings added a third early in the second-half to wrap up three points.
The Midlands club have now won two league games and two League Cup matches to begin the new campaign in some style, with their new signings making a big difference.
Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has looked extremely comfortable in the Villa net, while at the other end of the pitch centre-forward Ollie Watkins has shown brilliant work-rate and movement.
Villa also signed all-action right-back Matty Cash from Nottingham Forest and he’s settled very quickly following his move across the Midlands.
The 23-year-old full-back has impressed in the opening two league games of the season and it’s his first taste of top-flight action.
He showed his attacking qualities against Fulham with some decent crosses in the final third, while defensively he looks assured in one-on-one positions and is a strong tackler.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media singled Cash out for his latest performance and are thrilled with his signing.
