Aston Villa fans praise Jacob Ramsey for England Under-20s performance

Aston Villa youngster Jacob Ramsey helped his country secure victory on Tuesday afternoon at St George’s Park – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were discussing him following his influential display.

England’s Under-20s side secured a 2-0 victory against opponents Wales and managed that with two quick-fire goals in the first-half.

Ramsey opened the scoring just after the half hour mark, before Xavier Amaechi extended the advantage just there minutes later.

Ramsey delivered for the Young Lions on Tuesday to help enhance his reputation and he’s an exciting talent that has risen through the academy at Villa.

The 19-year-old is an attacking midfielder that has played seven senior games so far for the Midlands giants and was previously a goal machine at youth level.

His only problem moving forward is that Villa managed to sign Chelsea star Ross Barkley on loan before the transfer window shut and that could block his path to gaining more first-team minutes.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media were discussing Ramsey following his goal on the international stage and one suggested he should be included in the first-team’s next game.

Dean Smith’s side travel to the King Power Stadium on Sunday to face Leicester City in the Premier League and he’s beginning to force his way into the senior picture at Villa Park.

He was used as a late substitute in a win over Fulham at the end of September, but didn’t make the 18-man squad for the memorable 7-2 win over Fulham before the international break.
