Aston Villa fans negative about reported interest in Jed Wallace

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in attacker Jed Wallace from Championship side Millwall – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted negatively to the speculation.

The Sunday Express reported in its print edition (Page 65, 1 December) that the Midlands club could make a move for the 25-year-old.

It is understood that Millwall want to keep hold of the right-winger and it would take in excess of £10million to sign him, despite the fact his contract expires at the end of the season.

With the January transfer window drawing closer, Villa have cast their eye over in-form talent Wallace.

He’s been in great form so far this season, scoring seven goals and supplying four assists in 17 league games for Millwall in the Championship.

The Englishman is a wide player renowned for his rapid pace and he’s become a serious goal threat in recent times too.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media aren’t convinced that the Millwall flyer is the type of target the club should splash £10million on.

He’s not had any Premier League experience so far and would be a major gamble, but it does look like he’s really starting to develop now and it’s understandable that Dean Smith’s team are eyeing him.

Here are some Villa fans responding to the Wallace speculation:
