Aston Villa fans loved what Kodjia did when Brunt was sent off for West Brom last night

Aston Villa will battle for a place in the Premier League in the Championship play-off final for the second straight season after seeing off West Bromwich Albion last night.

In truth, Villa were the dominant side across both legs, with the Baggies only really succeeding in knocking their visitors out of their passing rhythm sporadically across 210 minutes.

But they were doing that when experienced Northern Irish international and club captain Chris Brunt dived into two stupid tackles within minutes of each other and got himself sent off.

From there on in, it was all Villa and perhaps Dean Smith will be disappointed that his side didn’t get the job done in normal and extra time.

But before that, Jonathan Kodjia mocked Brunt from the bench as he was walking off the pitch, and it didn’t escape the attention of the cameras or Twitter (Villa Report).
