Aston Villa fans laud John McGinn after brilliant display against Fulham

Aston Villa fans have gone wild for John McGinn on social media, after the Scot dazzled against Fulham in the Premier League.

Dean Smith’s side ran out 3-0 winners on the night, making it back-to-back victories for the Midlands club.

Goals came from Jack Grealish, Conor Hourihane and Tyrone Mings, with Fulham having a second-half goal ruled out for a foul in the build-up.

Villa were superior to the Cottagers in every department for most of the game, and confidence is sure to be surging after two consecutive clean sheets.

McGinn was particularly impressive for the visitors.

Last term he started brilliantly but his ankle break saw him unable to get back to his best level.

Here, he was everywhere and looked like a man on a mission.

The £25,000-a-week maestro (Spotrac) produced a sumptuous chipped through ball for Grealish’s goal, and had fans drooling with a fantastic roulette against Fulham defender Joe Bryan. He also assisted Hourihane’s goal.

McGinn’s performance was all-action, and his form could be absolutely key to helping Villa occupy places in and around the top half this season.
