Jack Grealish has once again been overlooked by Gareth Southgate after the England boss named a 24-man squad for games against Iceland and Denmark.

Despite almost single-handedly keeping Aston Villa in the Premier League at the end of last season, the versatile performer has once again been ignored by the Three Lions manager.

Grealish played 36 times in the Premier League last season, scoring eight goals, claiming nine assists and winning the Man of the Match award on no fewer than nine occasions.

The Aston Villa ace must be disappointed deep down and all he can do is aim to start the season in the best possible style and make it impossible for Southgate to ignore him.

Villa fans are certainly perplexed by the latest squad announcement from the England boss and they simply can’t believe he hasn’t been selected.

Plenty of supporters have taken straight to Twitter to vent their frustration and express their aghast at his latest omission.

Last year, Southgate claimed following Villa’s promotion that he must gain Premier League football in order to thrust himself into England selection.

One year on and the boss has called up Leeds ace Kalvin Phillips, despite the midfielder having never played a single top-flight game (Sky Sports).

Something doesn’t add up and here is a selection of Tweets from the Villa faithful as Grealish misses out on international honours once again.
