Aston Villa fans impressed by Andre Green after Nottingham Forest win

Aston Villa recorded an impressive 3-1 away victory against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night – and many of the club’s supporters liked what they saw from young attacker Andre Green.

Dean Smith’s side have now picked up successive wins over Forest, Birmingham City and Derby County in March to breathe new fire into their promotion bid.

The Midlands giants are now up to eighth in the Championship table and are only two points outside the play-offs.

Villa bounced back against Forest after conceding an early goal, as midfielder John McGinn fired in two goals with his left foot.

Kortey House made sure of the points in the second-half and the team now turn their attention to a home clash with Middlesbrough at the weekend.

A selection of Villa fans were delighted to see academy graduate Green in action, as he was recalled to the team and completed 90 minutes.

The right-winger showed some real glimpses of quality against Forest with dribbling and lots of energy, while the end product should improve as he matures.

He is a 20-year-old that impressed out on loan with Portsmouth in League One during the first half of the season and was recalled in January.
