Dean Smith’s side have now picked up successive wins over Forest, Birmingham City and Derby County in March to breathe new fire into their promotion bid.
The Midlands giants are now up to eighth in the Championship table and are only two points outside the play-offs.
Villa bounced back against Forest after conceding an early goal, as midfielder John McGinn fired in two goals with his left foot.
Kortey House made sure of the points in the second-half and the team now turn their attention to a home clash with Middlesbrough at the weekend.
