Aston Villa’s promotion hopes were boosted on Saturday after they won a tricky away fixture against play-off chasers Sheffield Wednesday.
Two stoppage time goals saw Aston Villa edge the Championship fixture and record a 3-1 victory – their sixth straight league win.
The Villans are up to fifth now and they are the division’s form team going into the closing stages of the season.
But it could have been a different story if not for Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer, who produced a match-turning moment.
With the scores level at 1-1, Sheffield Wednesday were awarded a second-half penalty. Up stepped Steven Fletcher but his tame effort was pushed away by Steer.

This would have been a sweet moment for the 26-year-old, who was snubbed by Steve Bruce during their time together at Villa Park.
Even earlier this season, Bruce brought in Orjan Nyland when it looked like Steer would take the gloves for the season.
But now Bruce’s Sheffield Wednesday were denied a win by Steer’s heroics and Aston Villa fans loved that. Here are some of the best tweets about Steer.
