Aston Villa fans hail Marvelous Nakamba for his display

Marvelous Nakamba started his third consecutive Premier League game in Saturday’s draw at home to Burnley – and some Aston Villa fans on Twitter praised him for his performance.

Dean Smith’s side were held to a 2-2 draw at home, despite leading on two different occasions and may feel it was two points dropped.

Anwar El Ghazi and John McGinn scored a goal in each half for the hosts, but they were cancelled out by goals from Jay Rodriguez and Chris Wood for Burnley.

It means that Villa have just one victory in their opening seven league matches and currently sit 18th in the table with plenty of work to do.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media were left disappointed by a draw, but did find some positive from the display of Nakamba.

The 25-year-old has made an excellent start to life in English football and it seems like he’s got fans on his side already.

He was extremely efficient when on the ball against Burnley and looked very tidy in the centre of the park, while

The defensive midfielder allows others around him to play and it looks like he will be a mainstay in the team moving forward.
