Aston Villa fans feel Tyrone Mings should have got his England debut last night

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings is still waiting to make his international debut.

England continued their rampant European Championship qualifying campaign with victory over Kosovo last night. However, Gareth Southgate will not have been impressed by the fact his team conceded three goals in what should have been a far more comfortable evening.

England won 5-3 but all three goals they conceded could have easily been avoided.

The first came after a mistake from Michael Keane. Declan Rice was then at fault for the second whilst Harry Maguire’s stupid foul allowed Kosov to secure a third from the penalty spot.

The defensive frailty showed by England certainly had some Aston Villa fans puzzled on Twitter.

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings was called up to the England team for the first-time for the most recent England fixtures. However, he remains uncapped after England’s wins over Bulgaria and Kosovo.

Last night, however, he might have done a better job than Keane or Maguire.

Aston Villa fans are certainly of that belief.

Many of them have taken to Twitter to make it clear that Mings would not have been making the same errors as the centre-back pairing for the national team did last night.

Here is some of the best reaction from Aston Villa fans who felt Mings should have made his debut…
