Dean Smith has revealed the injury boost that Aston Villa attacker Jota is back to full fitness -and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are delighted.
Villa manager Smith confirmed (official Twitter) that the 28-year-old is now back available for the Midlands giants and that he’s “pushing for a start” in the midweek fixture.
The Spaniard is vying to break back into the team for the trip to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night to face Chelsea in the Premier League.
Jota made the move from rivals Birmingham in the summer and he looked positive in the early weeks of the season.
But the skilful right-winger has only managed seven appearances across all competition so far and has been on the sidelines recently after undergoing a hernia surgery.
A selection of Villa supporters on social media are delighted to see that Jota is back in contention and feels he could give them a real lift.
He may have a sizeable task of breaking back into the XI, but he gives them some extra guile and has a lot of potential.
Villa are looking to continue their momentum against Chelsea after drawing against Manchester United and beating Newcastle United in their last two matches.
Here are some Villa fans on Jota’s injury news:

Maybe, but always thought the thing he was missing was a bit of pace, and given we’ve only seen him with a hernia it’ll be interesting to see what a fully fit Jota can do, he was good against Everton

Think El Ghazi is injured so I guess that’s why he’s saying he’s pushing for a start Vs Trez
