Aston Villa fans have taken to social media following reports that the club are interested in signing Norwich City playmaker Emi Buendia in the summer transfer window.

The Sun report via Birmingham Live that Dean Smith is keen to sign the Argentina midfielder with Ross Barkley likely to return to Chelsea in the summer following a season-long loan spell with the Villians. Buendia has been vital for Norwich’s promotion back to the Premier League, with the winger scoring 14 goals and assisting 17 in the Championship this campaign.

After such an impressive season, and The Daily Mail recently reported that Norwich value Buendia at £40m, Villa fans on social media were eager for the club to pull the trigger and sign the Argentine playmaker.
