Conor Hourihane and Ahmed Elmohamady hail Aston Villa player

Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has been praised by Ahmed Elmohamady and Conor Hourihane following his impressive Scotland display on Monday.

The Villa talisman helped his nation record a crucial 2-0 win over Denmark in Monday night’s qualifier at Hampden Park.

The victory means Scotland will have home advantage in the Qatar 2022 playoffs next March.

McGinn was phenomenal for his nation as he embarked on surging runs, passed the ball around well and tracked back relentlessly.

He also provided the crucial corner kick which was nodded on and duly headed home by John Souttar for the opener.

Taking to Instagram after the game, McGinn shared a photo of himself from the game and wrote “proud”.
