Aston Villa are now ready to sell two senior players this month

Aston Villa could now reportedly sell Calum Chambers and Leander Dendoncker this month, with the duo struggling for minutes this season.

The pair were inherited by Unai Emery after the Spanish manager’s appointment at Villa Park in October 2022, yet despite previously working with the likes of Chambers, the defensive pair haven’t featured often.

Dendoncker had played just 319 minutes of football this season in all competitions, whilst Chambers has only managed 178 minutes, none of which have come in the Premier League.

And now, according to the Atheltic, Villa are open to selling Chambers and Dendoncker, with Emery keen to streamline the squad as the Villians look ready to actually challenge for the Premier League title.

Indeed, whilst Villa won’t earn record-breaking profits from either player, Chambers and Dendoncker could bring in some respectable fees if the transfer team can play their cards right.

And given how good the pair could be for the right club, Villa need to be doing work now to find Chambers and Dendoncker new homes, and soon.

With so few minutes this season, it’s pretty obvious that Villa have to be looking at offloading both Chambers and Dendoncker this month.

The pair are both in the prime of their careers and could still offer a lot in the Premier League, though it’s clear that Villa won’t be that team to continue on their legacies.

However, given how much money that’s now going around in the English top-flight, it might not be long before Chambers and Dendoncker have found new clubs this month.
