'Ask for £60m', 'cash in': Some fans react after hearing Arsenal are trying to sign their '1st-class' midfield star

Arsenal are trying to sign Leicester’s Youri Tielemans, according to Goal.com.

Discussions have reportedly taken place with the 24-year-old’s representatives at London Colney in recent weeks to explore the situation.

Mikel Arteta is currently light in the middle of the park, with three Arsenal midfielders currently unavailable.

In addition, Ainsley Maitland-Niles has joined Roma on loan.

It’s therefore unsurprising that Arsenal are seemingly looking for midfield reinforcements.

And Tielemans would be a great shout for the Gunners, a talented, tenacious and pretty much complete midfielder.

In addition, the Belgium international has just 18 months left on his contract and is apparently unlikely to sign an extension.

Clubs across Europe are positioning themselves to land the Belgium international and Arsenal reportedly want to be in the mix.

The Goal.com report claims a January move is unlikely, with Leicester expected to keep hold of him as they look to convince him to sign a new deal.

However, Arsenal apparently believe they could be an appealing option for the midfielder in the summer, especially if they can offer him Champions League football.

Here’s how some Leicester fans have reacted to the Tielemans / Arsenal speculation:
